ABOUT ME

Welcome.

I live and work in the small town of Barrantes in Galicia, Spain. With the river Miño and my beloved Portugal to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, I am surrounded and inspired by water.

I work with porcelain, often colored with pigment, and fired in a gas kiln. Specifically, I employ a technique called Neriage that creates a polychromatic strata effect, which mirrors patterns in the earth where I live. I'm excited by the endless possibilities invoked by color and shape, echoed by the vastness of the sea.

With layer upon layer of color, each piece is one of a kind, impossible to replicate. I strive to create pieces as unique as the features of nature that inspire me.
